West Village

Saturday, June 15, 2013
Sunday night was probably my favorite night of my weekend in New York. We started off the evening by wandering around West Village, and then watching the sunset from the rooftop of our friend Courtney's apartment. How gorgeous are these views?! After exploring West Village, we headed to the Meatpacking District and walked along the Highline, followed by drinks at Le Bain. After hanging out at Le Bain - an incredible rooftop bar with awesome views of the city, we headed to The Diner for some late night burgers & truffle fries. To conclude our evening, we decided to go on adventure - and so our friend Bryce drove us around the entire island of Manhattan. We explored all of the different neighborhoods (literally, all of them!) and listened to "Empire State of Mind"... so much NYC goodness. It was all so much fun!

230 Fifth

Friday, June 14, 2013
This past weekend, we went to 230 Fifth for brunch - an incredible rooftop bar & restaurant with the most amazing view of the NYC skyline! The food was absolutely delicious, but the views were even more delectable. (But be warned, the service was terrible.) Nothing quite beats sipping mimosas while overlooking the city's best view of the Empire State Building. It's a rough life, but someone's gotta do it.

Upper East Side

Thursday, June 13, 2013
Despite the fact that I could never see myself living in New York, the Upper East Side is the one place that I would actually want to live in. I absolutely loved this neighborhood. From the gorgeous, towering apartment buildings to the quaint, ivy covered cafés - I felt like I was living halfway between Europe and Gossip Girl.

We spent quite a bit of time here during my trip to NYC, for this is where the majority of our friends live. Conveniently, there happens to be a Ladurée very close to one of our friend's apartments. This may be a significant contributing factor as to why I love this area so much. I mean, if you know anything about me at all, you probably know that I am obsessed with macarons. (When I lived in Paris, I spent the large majority of my money on macarons from Ladurée. Besides the fact that I love all things beautiful and French, macarons were the only gluten free pastries I could find. And they just happen to be incredibly delicious. I guess the word I'm looking for is "addiction".)

My absolute favorite part of NYC is Central Park, and I love how close it is to the Upper East Side. How lovely would it be to just walk a few blocks to the park and lounge there all day? Or dare I say, have a view of the park from your bedroom window... I mean, a girl can dream, right?

My happy place.
How gorgeous are those hydrangeas?!
Snacking on macarons and grapefruit Pellegrino at a darling French café. Bliss.
Hanging out at Lauckey's apartment before hitting the bars. Love these ladies!
